Nicole A. El
Nicole El is an experienced criminal and civil litigator who has extensive trial experience. She has been with the Defender Association of Philadelphia since 2008, where she has successfully defended juvenile and adult defendants in trials for attempted murder, robbery, gun possession, sex offender registration and notifications, theft, carjacking and more.
She is a faculty member for the Defender Association’s Trial Advocacy and Juvenile Unit training programs, teaching recently hired attorneys in cross-examination, motions practice and conducting preliminary hearings. She also served on the faculty of a CLE on defending children accused of sexual offenses.
Previously, she practiced at the Law Office of Faye Riva Cohen PC, where she represented plaintiffs in employment discrimination cases at the state and federal levels.
She received her JD from New England School of Law, where she was a member of the Charles Hamilton Houston Honor Society and served as president of the Minority Students’ Association.
