The Kline School of Law: What you really need to become a lawyer SET YOUR OWN TIMETABLE The Kline School of Law allows you to complete your JD in three years or in two. Both programs offer the same courses, the same number of credits and the same opportunities for co-op placements, clinics, Trial Team and Law Review. The difference is how quickly you’ll earn your degree and be ready to enter the job market. Because the practice of law encompasses so much, many students take advantage of the traditional, three-year program to explore the vast range of career pathways they may wish to follow at a slower pace. If you already know what kind of career you want to pursue or you are especially eager to enter the workforce quickly, the two-year program might be right for you. WORLD CLASS MENTORS Every step of the way, regardless of the path you choose, you’ll get guidance and support from our faculty, co-op and clinic supervisors and seasoned pro bono advisors who handle every area of legal practice.
