Katie Jelen, ’10, has been named creative manager, synchronization for Warner/Chappell Music and Warner Music Nashville, Variety reported on Sept. 5.
In this role, Jelen will develop new opportunities for the use of repertoire works in film, television, advertising, video games and new media.
“Katie is perfectly suited to take on the Nashville post,” Warner Executive Vice president Ron Broitman told Variety. “We’re very happy to have her on board, and look forward to everything she will be doing on behalf of our artists, songwriters and partners.”
Warner Nashville’s portfolio includes a wide range of artists, including Blake Shelton, Ashley Monroe and Brett Eldredge.
Jelen has lived in Nashville for the last two years, relocating from Los Angeles, where she began her career with Secret Road Music Services.
In law school, Jelen was executive vice president of the Student Bar Association and completed a concentration in Intellectual Property Law.
