Nicole Allen White, ’12, has been named a Rising Star Semi-Finalist for KYW Newsradio’s 2017 Women’s Achievement Award and appears on the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list.
White is the director of government affairs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where she manages the museum’s government relations for city, state and federal initiatives as well as external relations activities in the local and regional community.
KYW notes that White is very active in the community. With her husband, White co-founded the Pattison Leader Ball, an event that gives future leaders of Pennsylvania a chance to network in tandem with the annual Pennsylvania Society weekend, as current powerbrokers already can do. The event, which the Whites have hosted since 2013, drew Gov. Tom Wolf and his wife in 2016.
White also chairs the Mayor’s Millennial Advisory Committee, serves as vice chair of USA250, a nonprofit organization planning America’s 250th birthday in 2026, chairs the Advocacy Committee of the Philadelphia Cultural Fund and serves on the board of Represent PAC, a political action committee that seeks to get women elected to public office in Pennsylvania.
In 2015, White served on Mayor Jim Kenney’s Transition Team as co-chair for the Community and Culture Committee. In 2016, she was elected as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention.
