South Philly activist Daryle Lamont Jenkins, the spokesperson for a local anti-fascism group called the "One People's Project," faces a lawsuit in Oklahoma for protesting a white-separatist run "American Renaissance Conference" in Virginia, Philadelphia Weekly reported in a Feb. 21 article. There is only one problem, Jenkins argues, the Oklahoma court does not have jurisdiction over him because the conference took place in Virginia and Jenkins is from Philadelphia.
Dean Roger Dennis commented that Jenkins just may have a point. If Jenkins "never did anything connected to the state of Oklahoma, they don’t have any jurisdiction over this dispute,” Dennis said.
