On Feb. 25, Professor David S. Cohen appeared on Philadelphia CNN-News affiliate WFMZ-TV in "40 Years On: Roe v. Wade, the History & Future of Reproductive Rights," a program presented by the American Law Journal.
The program examines Roe v. Wade, the landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision on abortion rights.
At 2:54, Cohen discusses Justice Kennedy's influential vote in the case which left the door open for state restrictions on abortion. Such restrictions, Cohen said, while not criminalizing abortion, "make it more costly and more difficult for women to access" abortion services.
David S. Cohen’s scholarship explores constitutional law and gender issues in the law that range from sex discrimination to interactions between gender identity and social policy.
