The Northeast Times profiled Yuan Tang, Class of 2011, in "Crusader for the Helpless" in its July 6 edition.
As a law student, Tang immersed herself in legal advocacy through participation in the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project, traveling to Cambodia with Bridges Across Borders and investigating human rights violations in Port-au-Prince as a member of the law school's Drexel Haiti Justice Project. Her work with the AIDS Law Project of Philadelphia earned her an award from the Philadelphia Bar Association's Public Interest Section.
Tang will join the staff of the Nationalities Services Center, a non-profit providing assistance to immigrants and refugees, later this year as an attorney.
