This panel is in response to President Fry's fall 2022 commitment to increase funding to Drexel's campus police as well as partner with the private security firm Allied Universal. Increasing police funding and partnering with private security raise important questions about Drexel's impact on west Philadelphia. For the panel, we have a Drexel Law professor, a formerly incarcerated and exonerated activist, and two civil rights attorneys who will speak on, and answer questions about, policing in Philadelphia.
