Professor Barry Furrow

Using private law to improve nursing home care, Professor Barry Furrow contributes a chapter to the book Health Law as Private Law (Cambridge University Press 2025). In “The Hollowed-Out American Nursing Home: Using Private Law to Police Poor Quality Care and Expand Owner Responsibilities,” he examines legal strategies to enforce better care standards and strengthen oversight of facility owners.
