Members of the Drexel University Kline School of Law Career Strategies Office (CSO) recently attended the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) 2023 Annual Education Conference.
NALP is the preeminent trade association for legal career professionals who advise law students, lawyers, law offices and law schools in North America and beyond. This year’s NALP Conference brought together more than 1,400 law school career strategies professionals and law firm recruitment personnel to network and discuss topics relevant to the professional careers of their students and alumni.
Jen Whitehurst, director of career strategy, was selected to speak at this year’s conference on the topic of employer outreach. Whitehurst presented to a national audience as a subject matter expert, highlighting the CSO’s strategic employer outreach initiatives. The conference also marked the end of Whitehurst’s two-year term on NALP’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Leadership Council.
Rashida West, director for pro bono and public interest programs, was appointed to the NALP Board of Directors for the 2023-2025 term at this year’s annual business meeting. West is an accomplished public interest attorney who oversees the law school’s Pro Bono Service Program as well as public interest initiatives. She has a long-standing history of NALP leadership and will continue to represent Drexel Kline Law at a national level as a director.
