Lloyd Freeman, chief diversity & inclusion officer at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, received the Albert S. Dandridge, III Business Law Section Diversity Award, which is presented by the Business Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
As part of the award, Freeman, a member of the adjunct faculty and Law School Advisory Board at Kline School of Law, will be given $2,500 to donate to an entity that embodies the Business Law Section’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. Freeman will donate these funds to Kline Law’s 3+3 partnership with Spelman College.
“I’m extremely supportive of this initiative which aims to increase diversity in the legal profession and Philadelphia,” said Freeman, who is a graduate of Howard University, a historically Black university.
Both Freeman and Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney will match the $2,500 diversity award donation, providing a total gift of $7,500 to Kline Law. “Together, we’ll be able to provide a number of scholarships to black women pursuing their law degrees. I’m so incredibly proud of this!” said Freeman.
