Professor Paul Flanagan will be a presenter at the American Health Lawyers Association’s Fraud and Compliance Forum in Baltimore on Sept. 28.
Flanagan, who directs the law school’s Privacy, Cybersecurity and Compliance program, will join a panel focused on helping professionals from separate compliance, legal, risk and internal audit offices to work effectively to reduce an organization’s risk. He will join Leah Guidry, managing director of the Huron Consulting Group based in Washington, D.C, and Lori A. Laubach of the Moss Adams public accounting firm in Tacoma, Washington, on the panel.
A pioneer in regulatory compliance, Flanagan has held leadership posts in numerous universities and health care organizations. He was selected in 2018 to begin a three-year stint as a Fulbright Specialist by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
