The Kline School of Law has been ranked #3 in the U.S. in the 2017-18 Trial Competition Performance Ranking published by Fordham University School of Law, based on the Trial Team's combined performance in 2016-17 and 2017-18.
Based on competitions in 2017-18 alone, the school ranked #4, up from #6 the previous year.
The Trial Competition Performance Ranking provides an objective snapshot of achievement, awarding points for different competition wins as well as for advances to final or semi-final rounds in regional and national tournaments.
Kline’s Trial Team won prestigious national and regional competitions in the last academic year:
- National Champion, Top Gun National Mock Trial Competition, hosted by Baylor Law School, June 2018
- Regional Champions, American Association of Justice Trial Competition, April 2018
- Regional Champions, Texas Young Lawyers Association Trial Team Competition, February 2018
- National Champions, Tournament of Champions, sponsored by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, November 2017
