Director of Career and Professional Development Liz Dunn led a delegation of 15 students to the Equal Justice Works Conference and Career Fair in Arlington, Virginia Oct. 26-27.
The conference is the largest national event for law students interested in pursuing careers in public interest law. More than 200 employers take part and interview students for full-time jobs and internships.
Dunn was appointed vice chair of the National Association for Law Placement’s Public Service Section Publications Working Group in April.
Associate Dean for Career Strategies Donna Gerson moderated a panel discussion of solo and small firm lawyers at the American Bar Association Solo, Small Firm and General Practice Division Fall Conference in Charleston, South Carolina on Oct. 25. Gerson is the NALP liaison to the division.
In April, Gerson was appointed co-chair of a new task force on “Re-imagining Recruiting,” which is focusing on alternatives to on-campus interviewing as a tool in legal recruiting.
