3L Taylor Pickersgill was named an Outstanding Advocate in the South Texas Challenge, a mock trial competition hosted by South Texas College of Law March 22 to 25.
Pickersgill was among 10 competitors who received that honor in the competition, which included 112 law students from 28 schools.
He joined Trial Team members 2L Zachary Kimmel, 2L Jasmine Marshall and 3L Stephen Park in the competition, where the team advanced to the octo-finals.
The team was coached by attorneys Guy D’Andrea of Laffey, Bucci and Kent, and Tracie Palmer of Kline and Specter.
“I’m proud of the entire team for advancing in a large competition, and Taylor truly rose to the challenge,” said Professor Gwen Stern, who directs the Trial Advocacy program.
