David Burpoe and Meghan Rice, both 3Ls, have been awarded scholarships from the Brehon Foundation.
The foundation created the scholarships a year ago to recognize and support law school members who consistently display high levels of achievement in their academics, in the community and as members of the Brehon Law Society.
Burpoe, who has a master’s degree in International Relations and Affairs, is the president of the law school’s Law and National Security Society.
Rice recently spoke on a panel she helped organize, “Justice Denied and Injustice Forgotten: The Guantánamo Bay Military Commissions,” following a hearing she attended at the facility in Cuba.
The two will be honored at presentation on April 19. The scholarships they receive are supported by the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union.
