Members of the Trial Team once again were crowned champions, this time at the national Capitol City Challenge hosted by American University’s Washington College of Law on March 2-5.
3Ls Immon Shafiei and Mike Acciavatti and 2Ls Stefanie Friedman and Alyx Bennett prevailed in the national competition in which 20 law schools took part.
Shafiei won the award for Best Advocate in the competition, which involves the creative use of technology in the presentation of trial materials.
The competition is judged by experienced federal and state prosecutors, public defenders and private practice attorneys.
The team was coached by alumnae Elia Robertson, ’15, of Kline & Specter and Hannah Molitoris, ’16, of the Defenders Association of Philadelphia, and attorney Clancy Boylan of Fellerman & Ciarimboli Law.
