Professor Richard Frankel will appear at the Quinnipiac-Yale Dispute Resolution Workshop at Yale Law School on March 23.
Frankel will discuss his article, “Bootstraps on the Ground: A Response to Professor Leslie,” which appeared in Volume 94 of Texas Law Review See Also.
The article explores the question of whether courts are over-enforcing mandatory arbitration clauses in ways that prevent states from making the arbitration process fair and that harm consumers and employers.
Frankel, a recognized authority on arbitration clauses and director of the Appellate Litigation Clinic, joins experts from Harvard Law School, the University of California-Berkeley School of Law and former U.S. Senate Majority Leader and former U.S. Special Envoy for Middle East Peace George J. Mitchell in appearing in the workshop series.
