Professor Emily Zimmerman gave a presentation on Using Reflective Practice to Facilitate Collaboration at the annual conference of the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
Zimmerman joined Professor Diane Labrèche, who recently retired from the Université de Montréal Faculté de Droit, in appearing at the conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia on June 22.
The session focused on the importance of collaboration in both scholarly research and professional practice. Zimmerman and Labrèche also provided exercises to promote reflective practice and collaboration among scholars and professionals from different disciples.
Zimmerman, the director of the Criminal Law Concentration, has conducted empirical research to assess strengths and weaknesses in legal pedagogy.
