Five members of the Moot Court Board were crowned Mid-Atlantic Regional Champions in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition on Feb 19.
As champions, 3Ls Jayme Bronson and Immon Shafiei and 2Ls Stefanie Friedman, Annelise Gress and Jessica MacPhee will become one of 12 teams representing the United States in the White & Case International Rounds, which will be held in Washington, D.C in April and will feature students from more than 87 countries.
In total, students from more than 550 law schools take part in the international competition.
In addition to winning the regional contest, the team took Sixth Place honors for the Overall Brief.
Bronson received recognition as 10th Best Overall Individual Oralist.
The team was coached by Jonathan Klein of Clark Hill and Jennifer Budd from Cohen Seglias.
The regional competition featured teams from Georgetown University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Virginia, George Washington University, Howard University, Johns Hopkins University, American University, Temple University, Penn State University, Wake Forest University, the University of North Carolina, George Mason University, the University of Maryland, Catholic University, Widener University, the University of Baltimore, the University of Richmond and West Virginia University.
