Professor Anil Kalhan joined a roundtable discussion on “Empowering the Disadvantaged: Bonded Labor, Women and the Role of Human Rights,” held at Yale Law School on Sept. 13.
Kalhan joined Asma Jahangir, the co-founder of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, at the roundtable, along with law professors from Yale, UCLA and Lahore University in Pakistan.
An expert on immigration law and comparative constitutional law, Kalhan has written scholarly articles appearing in Columbia Law Review Sidebar, Columbia Journal of Asian Law, Maryland Law Review and the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. He is chair of the New York City Bar Association’s International Human Rights Committee.
