Professor Aimée Kahan is giving an invited lecture at a symposium organized by the International Academic Network on Bioethics at Shiga University in Japan on Dec. 15.
The director of the law school’s Master of Legal Studies program, Kahan will discuss death, bioethics and the status of the corpse.
Kahan is an expert on bioethics, reproductive rights and the intersection of law and religion.
She was invited both to give a lecture and to join the International Academic Network on Bioethics, which is based at the University of Rennes I in France and made up of academics from around the world. Its annual symposium, held in diverse locations, is conducted exclusively in French.
