Ernie Holtzheimer, ’16, was selected to join the American Bar Association’s Business Law Fellows Committee.
Holtzheimer, an associate at Montgomery McCracken, was one of only 17 lawyers chosen nationwide and will serve a two-year term. The committee encourages participation by diverse attorneys in the Business Law Section’s activities and provides a springboard to leadership opportunities.
At Montgomery McCracken, Holtzheimer is a member of the Litigation Department, where he handles entity formation, commercial contracts and intellectual property protection. He also has a broad range of experience handling a variety of legal issues in areas including nonprofit organizations, higher education law, and securities law.
Holtzheimer’s many engagements in the community include service on the advisory committees of Rowan University’s Rohrer College of Business and Innovation Venture Fund and on the Special Olympics Pennsylvania’s Executive Advisory Board.
Earlier in 2016, Holtzheimer received an Eve Biskind Klothen Award from the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Public Interest Section, in recognition of the 400+ hours of pro bono hours he completed as a law student for Philly VIP, the City of Philadelphia Law Department and the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights.
