The American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers will confer the Homer Kripke Achievement Award on Trustee Professor Amy Boss at its annual meeting on April 9.

Boss, a fellow of the ACCFL, is a leading scholar in the field of commercial law who has played key roles in codifying international commercial law.  She has served as an adviser and delegate to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and has worked with the U.N. Commission on Trade and Development, as well as the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation Council.

She is the author of scores of books, articles and reports on the uniform commercial code, electronic data transfer, leasing transactions and other topics.

A member of the American Law Institute Council, she is the first professor and just the second woman to have chaired the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association.

The Kripke Award, given to individuals who have changed the course of commercial finance law and practice, honors the memory of Homer Kripke, a former assistant general counsel at The CITIGroup Inc.  who was appointed the Chester Rohrlich Professor of Corporate Law, Finance and Taxation at New York University School of Law.
