Viren Doshi, a rising 3L, a founder of Drexel’s Integrated Health Initiative and Simulations Workshop and president of the Health Law Society, was showcased by the North American South Asian Law Students Association.
Doshi, who is pursuing a JD-MPH, perceived a lack of connection between the medical and legal professions while working as a clinical cancer researcher.
To build connections between budding professionals in those distinct worlds, Doshi launched the Integrated Health Initiative and Simulations Workshop, with fellow students from Drexel’s School of Public Health and School of Medicine.
The initiative hosts and promotes interdisciplinary events and offers practical workshops that enable students across all of Drexel’s colleges to exchange insights about the intersections between law, medicine, business, nursing, public health, public policy, biomedical science and engineering. The initiative also includes students from the Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, since communications is an important component of interdisciplinary collaboration.
