Law school alumna Shabrei Parker will be sworn in Sept. 10 as president-elect of the Philadelphia Barristers Association, an affiliate of the National Bar Association that represents some 1,500 black lawyers, jurists and law students.
Parker works of counsel with Mincey & Fitzpatrick in Center City, where she primarily handles trusts and estates, family law and civil litigation.
A member of the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association, Parker chaired the Lawyer for a Day program for high school students in the spring of 2014. She also serves as scholarship chair for the PBA’s Bench Bar Conference, which will be held in October.
