Parthiv Patel and John Walsh took top honors in the Northeast Regional American Bar Association Negotiation Competition at Pace University on Nov. 16 and 17.
Patel, a 1L, and Walsh, a 3L will advance to the national competition in Chicago in February.
The pair were among a particularly strong team. Ernie Holtzheimer, a 1L,and Daniella Price, a 2L, assisted by alternate Jasmine Smith, also a 1L, were ranked in second place after the first round of competition.
When the trio did not advance, they threw their energy into helping Patel and Walsh prepare for subsequent rounds.
“They all demonstrated a high degree of negotiation talent and skill, but also creativity, teamwork, flexibility, and professionalism…Drexel Dragon drive and teamwork at its best,” said Professor Nancy Kraybill, the faculty advisor for the team, who is coached during the year by attorney Stanley Braverman.
