Professor Anil Kalhan has been named chair-elect of the Association of American Law Schools Section on Law and South Asian Studies.
An expert on immigration law, U.S. and comparative constitutional law, and international human rights law, Kalhan is an affiliated faculty member at the South Asia Center at the University of Pennsylvania and a faculty advisory board member for the Drexel University Center for Mobilities Research and Policy. He is a frequent speaker at forums that explore overlapping issues of criminal law and immigration policy.
