Professor Donald Bersoff was an invited speaker at the White House Conference on Mental Health on June 3.
Bersoff, an emeritus professor of law and current president of the American Psychological Association, joined President Obama and Vice President Biden in speaking at the conference.
The event focused on strategies for reducing the stigma that prevents individuals from seeking treatment for mental health problems.
Elected to lead the American Psychological Association in 2011, Bersoff is a nationally recognized leader in mental health law. He was the founding director of the law school’s Law and Psychology program.
