American College of Employee Benefits Counsel has elected Professor Norman Stein as secretary.

The ACEBC is a nonprofit organization that promotes excellence in employee benefits law and recognizes seasoned attorneys who have demonstrated leadership while dedicating their careers to employee benefits law. The organization is a liaison member of the American Bar Association Joint Committee on Employee Benefits.

Stein is a nationally recognized expert on employee benefits, pension and tax law who is involved in policy development and testifies before Congress. He is secretary of the Association of American Law Schools Section on Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation. A member of the GAO’s Expert Panel on Retirement Security, he also served on the Department of Labor Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans and was a delegate at the White House Conference on Retirement Savings. He has been on the ACEBC Board of Governors since 2008.
