Joined by their friends, family and members of law school administration and faculty, dozens of graduates from the class of 2012 took a ceremonial oath of office as members of the Pennsylvania bar at City Hall on Nov. 13.
Dean Roger Dennis introduced the graduates before Hon. Pamela P. Dembe, president judge of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, administered the oath. Dennis commented that the school's class of 2012 is one of its most impressive classes to date, having won numerous trial and moot court competitions all while completing an unprecedented amount of hours in co-op and pro-bono work.
After administering the oath, Dembe said she is confident that the law school's graduates will elevate the profession and make a meaningful and lasting contribution to the Pennsylvania bar.
The 40 graduates who took part in the ceremony represent just some of those who passed the Pennsylvania bar exam in July.
