An upcoming book on developing collections for professional-school libraries features a chapter written by two member of the law school’s Legal Research Center team.

Professor Mark Bernstein, director of the Legal Research Center, and John Cannan, research and instructional services librarian, contributed a chapter in “Library Collection Development for Professional Programs: Trends and Best Practices,” which will be published in July.

The book explores academic library collection development across varied disciplines. 

The chapter by Bernstein and Cannan explores the ways in which a proliferation of electronic resources and the growing emphasis on skills-based training in legal education are affecting collection development in law libraries.   

The book, edited by Sara Holder, associate librarian and head of the Education Library and Curriculum Resources Centre at McGill University, will be published by IGI Global.
