While completing a co-op placement with Exelon Corp., a Fortune 500 utility company, 3L Nobumasa Hiroi co-authored the article, “What’s New About the New Jersey Wage and Hour Regulations.” The article is currently featured in the March issue of the New Jersey Labor and Employment Law Quarterly.
Hiroi’s article analyzes recent changes to New Jersey’s standards for overtime exemptions, finding that recent amendment’s to New Jersey’s overtime compensation rules bring them more in line with federal standards. Hiroi and co-author, Anne Cielsa Bancroft, assistant general counsel at Exelon, conclude that recent amendment’s to New Jersey’s overtime compensation rules will make compliance and enforcement of overtime standards easier for employers.
Hiroi is currently participating in his second co-op placement in Toyko with top-ranked international law firm Baker McKenzie.
