Ron Kern and Colleen Swim will compete in the national Giles Sutherland Rich Memorial Moot Court Competition in April after winning the southern regional championship on March 18.

The competition, now in its 39th year, is sponsored by the American Intellectual Property Law Association.

In addition to winning the overall prize, Kern and Swim also received an award for Best Appellee Brief.
They will take part in the national competition at the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C.

Their win adds to a spate of victories accumulated by the law school's Moot Court Board and Trial Team, as well as the newly formed Alternative Dispute Resolution Team.
