The Earle Mack School of Law at Drexel University has reached a proud milestone, becoming a member of the Association of American Law Schools.

The association’s House of Representatives approved the school’s membership during the organization’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 5.

Founded in 1900, the AALS represents the nation’s leading association of law schools dedicated to improving the legal profession through education and promoting high standards in legal scholarship.

“We are pleased to join other leading academic institutions as a member of the AALS,” Dean Roger Dennis said. “Membership in this organization is an affirmation of the scholarly excellence of the faculty.”

The vote to approve the school’s membership came at the earliest moment possible, just five months after the American Bar Association conferred full accreditation.
