On Oct. 21 and 22, the law school hosts the 2011 Thomas Tang Northeast Regional Moot Court Competition, administered by the National Asian Pacific American Law Foundation and Judicial Council.
Students from Boston University School of Law, Brooklyn Law School, Fordham University School of Law, Hofstra University School of Law, the John Marshall Law School, University of Maryland School of Law, Nova Southeastern University Law Center, the University of Pennsylvania Law School and the Earle Mack School of Law will take part in the competition.
The competition was founded in 1993 to honor the late Judge Thomas Tang, a champion of individual rights and an advocate for the advancement of minority attorneys.
The finalists will advance to the national competition to be held in Atlanta during the annual conference of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association in November.
