On Nov. 14, University of Pittsburgh School of Law Professor Haider Al Hamoudi and Washington, D.C.-based attorney Erich Ferrari will discuss how Islamic religious, or sharia, law affected the development of constitutional and legal systems in Iraq and Iran, and how Islamic law generally comports to international legal norms.
The event, co-sponsored by the American Constitution Society, Middle Eastern Law Students Association and the International Law and Human Rights Society, takes place at 5 p.m. in Room 140 with a reception to follow.
