Professors Alex Geisinger and Adam Cutler led off “Overstudied and Underserved: Uses of the Law to Promote Healthy Sustainable Urban Neighborhoods,” in Philadelphia on Oct. 6.
The event marked the 4th Annual Symposium on Equality organized by the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia.
Geisinger, a professor of law who teaches environmental law, focuses his scholarship on the role of legal theory in developing international law, environmental law and criminal law. Cutler, an adjunct professor, directs the Public Health and Environmental Justice Clinic at the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia.
The two explored principles of environmental justice during a preamble discussion that kicked off the symposium.
