Four rising 2Ls and Professor Karl Okamoto kicked around ideas for getting innovations into the marketplace during a backpacking trip in Central Pennsylvania June 24-26.
The students, who are concentrating their studies in Business and Entrepreneurship or Intellectual Property Law, won the trip during the school's Public Interest Auction in March.
Over the course of the 17-mile trip along the Loyalsock Trail, the students mulled ideas for developing a "green beef" product that would reduce the environmental impact of the cattle industry while resulting in a more nutritious product.
Joining Okamoto for the trip were students Mauricio Cuellar, Eamon Gallagher, Bobby Schena and Matthew Leaper.
