Director of the Health Law Program and Professor Barry Furrow discussed the justifications for the Affordable Care Act and some of its possible effects in improving access, promoting patient safety and regulating insurance markets at Hamline University School of Law on April 5, 2011.
Professor Furrow is a pioneer in the field of health law. He is the lead author of “Health Law — Cases, Materials and Problems” (now in its 6th edition), which remains the leading casebook in the field. He is also co-author of the treatise, “Health Law,” which the U.S. Supreme Court has cited three times.
