Ray Krone, who spent 10 years on Arizona’s death row after being twice convicted of murder, spoke at the law school on March 24.

Krone became the 100th former death row inmate to be exonerated through DNA evidence in 2002, after he had served 10 years in prison.

A postal carrier who had served in the U.S. Air Force, Krone became the sole suspect in the murder of a Phoenix bartender after police neglected explore DNA evidence in the woman’s rape and murder.

“If they can do it to me, they can do it to anybody,” Krone said.

The event was hosted by the Drexel National Lawyers Guild and co-sponsored by Witness to Innocence, a non-profit organization that represents exonerated death row survivors and their families.
