Earle Mack School of Law Professor Lisa McElroy took a turn in the hot seat as a contestant on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" on Jan. 4.
Joined by host Meredith Vieira, the spirited Professor McElroy started strong with confident answers to the lower tier questions. Calling on the audience for assistance with the location of one of real estate mogul Donald Trump's estates, she advanced to the $12,500 question: "As a result of General Motor's bankruptcy declaration in 2009, what foreign government became one of its largest shareholders?"
Unfortunately, both her lifeline and "Ask the Expert" CNN anchor Erica Hill provided incorrect answers to the question, sending Professor McElroy home with less than the million dollar jackpot.
