Professor David S. Cohen Publishes Article in George Washington Law Review

December 02, 2010

"The Paradox of McDonald v. City of Chicago," an article by Associate Professor David S. Cohen has been published in Arguendo, an online supplement to The George Washington Law Review.

The article explores the hidden complexities of a 2010 Supreme Court ruling that resulted from a 5-4 decision.  The decision held that Second Amendment protections of individuals' rights to own handguns applies to state and local governments as well as federal government.  Cohen's article explores the ways in which this apparently simple holding masks a more complicated "voting paradox."
