Military Transition Program Speaker Series Welcomes Founder of the Greater Philadelphia Veterans Network
November 3, 2026
Goodwin College's Military Transition Program (MTP) supports veterans as they transition from military service to civilian careers and continued education.

Alex Archawski
On October 7, MTP welcomed guest speaker Alex Archawski for his presentation, “Successful Journey of a Professional Veteran.” Alex is a military veteran, entrepreneur and sales executive who continues to serve the veteran community through his work with his nonprofit, Greater Philadelphia Veterans Network. The organization’s goal is to provide veterans with the tools and resources to support their employment, leadership development and entrepreneurial success.
During the session, Alex emphasized the importance of building a strong professional network and drew on Benjamin Franklin’s legacy to illustrate the lasting value of meaningful connections. He explained how networking can open doors to opportunities and support veterans as they transition to civilian careers. Drawing on his experience as a veteran, Alex also highlighted the challenges of adjusting to life outside of military structure and shared resources available through GPVN to help veterans navigate their career journeys.
MTP’s operational budget is fully funded by Drexel alumnus, parent and U.S. Army veteran Thomas A. Masci Jr. ’68, who exemplifies a legacy of support and commitment to Drexel. His contributions extend to Drexel's Center for Military and Veterans Services, among many other initiatives that support the veteran student experience and veteran student success. As a result of Mr. Masci’s generosity, programming and opportunities like the Speaker Series bring veterans, veteran service organizations, and community members to Drexel to share their experiences and career journeys with MTP students and connect them with valuable insights and tools to aid in their next steps.
Join us on February 17, 2027, for lunch and the next Military Transition Program Speaker Series session, featuring Jason Raybin and his presentation, “Chart Your Course: A Veteran’s Framework for Career Decision-Making.”
