New students were introduced to Goodwin College and Drexel at Welcome Week, the annual week of events that familiarizes students with the University, acclimates them to life in Philadelphia, and builds friendships that will last through their time at Drexel.

On Monday, September 18, students in the Philly X program, which allows students at Ursinus to experience life in Philadelphia and Drexel, visited the Constitution Center for Constitution Day, accompanied by Lamont Wilson, director of Degree Completion Programs, and Tim Gilrain, Assistant Dean of Goodwin College.

On Tuesday, September 19, First-Year Exploratory Studies students took part in a scavenger hunt through Old City, dined on pizza at Cappofitto, enjoyed the riverside views of Spruce Street Harbor Park, and finished the day with ice cream at Franklin Fountain.

Meanwhile, new students in the Military Transition Program attended a panel discussion led by previous students in the program, who offered tips on coursework, time management, and adjusting to civilian life.
