Tyra Everett '14 is a Goodwin College alum returning for graduate studies while serving in the Air Force.

Goodwin: Why did you choose Drexel’s Goodwin College?

Tyra: I choose Goodwin College to further my Career. As a recent graduate of Drexel, I was drawn to the college in pursuit of a 2nd Degree.

Goodwin: What are your favorite things about student life so far?

Tyra: My favorite things about student life is the location of Drexel. There are plenty of opportunities to explore the city of Philadelphia and its rich culture.

Goodwin: What are your future career aspirations?

Tyra: My future Career Aspirations are to work with military Veterans. I have a degree in Behavioral Health Counseling and am seeking a 2nd degree in Nursing. In addition to the education, I am serving in the United States Air force. I have deployed and seen what war can do to the human spirit. It is my hope to work within the military and outside with veterans suffering from PTSD.

Goodwin: Why did you decide to return to school after spending time in the professional world?

Tyra: I had always planned on furthering my education in order to remain competitive in the job market. Returned to school was something I planned for.

Goodwin: How do you think getting your degree will influence your career?

Tyra: Getting my degree will further my knowledge and allow me to stand out amongst others while competing in today cut throat job market.
