Drexel University's Steinbright Career Development Center recently announced its 2023 Cooperative Education Awards, which celebrate outstanding work in the university's innovative and unique cooperative education program, Drexel Co-op.

Dornsife student Arya Amaro, a Public Health major in the accelerated 4+1 program, was recognized as one of this year's winners and was featured in a new video, "Experience is Key: Amplify Your Impact with Drexel Co-op." Watch the video below.

Arya completed her co-op at PatientWing, which helps to advance medical research by connecting qualified patients with clinical trials. Arya was nominated for the award by Taylor Lipsich, director of Client Operations at PatientWing.

Throughout co-op, Arya impressed colleagues with creative thinking and organizational skills, which she used while speaking with patients and advocacy groups, improving company processes, and developing communications and training materials.

"I was able to get in and deal with key stakeholders of our company right off the bat," said Arya of her time at PatientWing.

Co-op at Drexel Dornsife is an integral part of the student experience for undergraduate public health majors.
