Our Student Success Team

The Office of Education at Drexel University's Dornsife School of Public Health (DSPH) supports the school in attracting, training, and empowering the next generation of public health leaders. Through our future leaders we aspire to elevate our commitments for a positive and lasting impact on public health.

We are committed to supporting the diverse needs of our students in a positive, inclusive, student-centered environment. We work closely with the student government and student organizations on a variety of issues including goal setting and event planning.

Erin Durkin

Erin Durkin, MS

Executive Director for Student Events & Engagement

As Executive Director for Student Events & Engagement, Erin Durkin is committed to using a holistic approach to student development when providing vocational and academic guidance to students as they strive to achieve their goals.

Erin leads the school's student engagement team and our hands-on academic advisors at Drexel Dornsife who are well-versed on our academic programs and school and university academic policies.

She has over a decade of experience in advising students in health-based programs, and held previous positions at DSPH as associate director for student success and senior academic advisor for undergraduate public health programs. Prior to coming to Drexel, she worked as the associate director of academic advising at Northeastern University and the health professions advisor at Moravian College.

Erin holds a Master of Science in College Student Development and Counseling from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from Boston College.

Tariem Burroughs

Tariem Burroughs, PhD, MS.Ed, MSODL

Executive Director for External Partnerships

Tariem Burroughs is the Executive Director for External Partnerships. He has worked at the intersection of health, education, and community for much of his career. He has always had the drive to make programs sustainable yet innovative and fresh to provide communities with the resources that they need to thrive.

He brings this same drive to this role and aims to empower and aid students who are pursuing careers in public health.

Tariem received his MS in Organizational Development and Leadership from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Master of Education Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Education from the University of Scranton. Most recently he completed his MA in Sociology en route to a PhD in Sociology at Temple University. He holds certifications in Geographic Information Systems and Teaching in Higher Education from Temple University.


Michelle Quigley

Michelle Quigley, MA

Associate Director, Career Services

As Associate Director of Career Services, Michelle Quigley is passionate about creating opportunities for growth and career counseling for SPH students. Her focus includes career development services for students with signature programs including the Professional Development Seminar Series, Coffee and Convos, and the career resources library.

Before joining the Dornsife School of Public Health, she supported the transition and success of students as Assistant Director/Resident Director at Drexel University.

Michelle received her MA in Student Affairs in Higher Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and BA in Psychology from Cabrini University. She enjoys helping students bridge their interests and passions with their professional goals to find a sense of fulfillment and success.

Michelle resides in Philadelphia with her partner and cats, where they enjoy the diverse array of restaurants and activities that the city has to offer.
