This section was created for public health students who are seeking professional and career development advice and activities. Dornsife School of Public Health (DSPH) and Drexel University provide various activities which focus on connecting students to resources such as resume building workshops, mock interviews, public health practitioners and career development experts. Additionally, this programming promote professional development of students and enhance the marketability of our graduating students.
Professional Development Seminar
DSPH prepares students for the workplace through this series of interactive workshops that challenge students to explore the intrapersonal and interpersonal skills needed in the workplace. The Philadelphia Regional Public Health Career fair, hosted each winter, invites employers in the Philadelphia region to meet with current DSPH students. Sponsored by Student Services, this fair is catered to helping Public Health students make connections with employers and establish themselves professionally, while obtaining the potential to secure a job pending their graduation in June. Employers are welcome to share more information about internship, volunteer, part-time, or full-time opportunities available to Public Health students. Exploring Public Health Industries
Each spring, DSPH welcomes Alumni back to campus to speak to current students about their experiences in Public Health industries, including: Hospitals, Clinics, and Healthcare Systems, Government, and Non-profit and For-profit Businesses and Organizations. During this exciting event series, DSPH Alumni panelists share tips and tricks for success in navigating the job searching process and how their degree prepared them for success.
