Today on the show, I am joined by Dr. Jennifer Taylor.
Dr. Taylor is the Arthur L. and Joanne B. Frank Professor of Environmental and Occupational Health and is the founding Director of the Center for Firefighter Injury Research & Safety Trends--The FIRST Center.
The FIRST Center is a research, education, and practice enterprise at the Dornsife School of Public Health at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
It comprises data scientists, epidemiologists, organizational scientists, and psychologists that are supporting the fire and rescue service through objective data collection and analysis on safety culture, stress, mental health, and injury.
Dr. Taylor also served as the consultant epidemiologist to the International Association of Fire Chiefs' (IAFC) National Near-Miss Reporting System from 2007-2011.
